“Our eternal Father, we deeply need enthusiasm for life. As the early Christians “turned the world upside down” with their Gospel, may we today share something of their spirit. May our enthusiasm not be shown in physical manifestations so much as in ethical living among our fellow men. Let us not forget the fact that “religion is morality touched with emotion.” Forgive us when we allow our religious feelings to become cold or lukewarm. May they continue to glow because our lives are deeply rooted in Thee, the source of all light, power and goodness; through Christ our Lord. Amen.”
